Director of Product Design

Validately is looking to hire a Product Designer who is excited about the opportunity to help change the future of user research and team collaboration, for a startup that just tripled revenue and is also cash flow positive!

We’re looking for an exceptional designer with experience designing for B2B and B2C, with a high level of curiosity and deep passion for research.

At Validately, expect a fast-paced work environment that fosters and requires great personal autonomy and a true ‘self-starter’ attitude.

Detailed Position Description

  • Lead Validately’s end-to-end user experience, delivering on KPIs and other metrics through data- and customer research–driven design strategies
  • Define and create a design system by establishing workflows, processes, and standards for developing all design systems that scale across our product suite
  • Drive and partner with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing to develop user experience strategy and innovation, as well as plan and execute roadmap initiatives
  • Oversee the development, execution, and improvement of UX strategic plans
  • Contribute UX and design thought-leadership to a highly collaborative team of UX, product, engineering, and marketing professionals with a focus on converting strong conceptual thinking and product strategy to impactful and intuitive experiences
  • Develop systems that monitor and measure the customer experience, business outcomes, and financial impacts
  • Serve as an ambassador for Validately in the broader design community
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to define, establish, and iterate on scalable processes that ensure effectiveness, efficiency, and transparency
  • You will help validate all the things!

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience working as part of a design team
  • Emotional intelligence and the ability to truly empathize what each individual on your team needs to thrive and feel fulfilled
  • An inspiring portfolio of mobile and web-based projects that highlights your approach to problem solving as well as the solutions themselves
  • A demonstrated ability to lead a project end-to-end and with a cross-functional team
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (both written and oral)
  • Strong interaction design, visual design, prototyping skills, and the ability to help shape product strategy
  • Human-centric, metrics-conscientious approach to designing products
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
  • Fluency in Sketch, Adobe CS, prototyping tools, and Zeplin-like tools
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of ownership and thought-leadership
  • A very high level of intellectual curiosity

Sales Development Representative (SDR)

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Validately, you’ll be responsible for generating new opportunities for our sales team by prospecting leads through email marketing and various digital channels, qualifying inbound leads, and identifying expansion opportunities among our current customers.

We’re looking for a hunter. The ideal candidate will have a strong worth ethic, be highly motivated, a team player, entrepreneurial, goal oriented, and have a passion for technology.

The role is based in New York City.

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting leads, answering inbound requests, and scheduling meetings
  • Managing and improving existing systems to optimize the sales process to qualify leads and generate new ones
  • Participate in meetings and calls with sales and marketing teams
  • Demoing Validately at meetings and on phone calls
  • Achieving quarterly quotas of qualified opportunities
  • Tracking industry news to identify outreach opportunities
  • Ability to work fast-paced work environment that requires great personal autonomy and a true "self-starter” attitude

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of sales or marketing experience
  • Startup and/or technology experience is strongly preferred
  • Outstanding written/verbal communication and listening skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.com
  • Proficient with Google suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
  • Experience with marketing/sales automation tools is a plus (Outreach.io/ZenProspect/Hubspot)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A strong desire for career in tech sales
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
